GURGAON-BASED DRIVING SOLUTIONS START-UP “HI–TECH ROBOTIC SYSTEMZ LIMITED” RECEIVED ANOTHER PATENT GRANT

Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz Limited, a Gurgaon based Driving solutions start-up has received a patent grant for inventing an advanced driver assistance system. The patent is aimed at simplifying driving of a vehicle by providing an advanced driver assistance system. This advanced driver assistance system gives adaptive feedback to the driver when a critical situation arrives.

This start-up provides a widespread range of autonomous advanced driver-assistive systems including autonomous navigation systems, attention & behavior monitoring systems, and external environment monitoring systems for vehicles. The start-up also provides industrial & warehousing systems.

The start-up has filed around 64 patent applications, out of which 14 patent applications have already received a grant. In addition, 47 patent applications are in the examination phase and 3 patent applications have been withdrawn. The start-up really seems to focus on building patent portfolios and monetizing them at further stages by either enforcing or using them for issuing press releases and presenting themselves as an innovative company, or using them during Mergers & Acquisitions as a tool for negotiation. The start-up, at this stage, may use their patent portfolios as a deterrence tool in selected locations where they’re operating.

The recently granted patent focuses on the advanced driver assistance system that includes several cameras, a ranging module, a storage device and a processor. One of the cameras identifies objects in short-range vicinity of the vehicle and the ranging module measures distance between the vehicle and objects in a straight path. Another camera monitors the driver’s state. Accordingly, the storage device stores state parameters of the vehicle. The processor receives inputs from all the cameras, the storage device and the ranging module. The processor provides an ideal feedback to the driver in real time, especially when a critical situation arrives while driving. The intensity of the feedback is varied based on the current vehicle state determined from the state parameters of the vehicle. The patent was filed on 11th May 2017 and got the grant on 7th January 2020.
