BANGALORE-BASED START-UP NANOBI DATA & ANALYTICS PRIVATE LTD RECEIVED A US PATENT GRANT

Nanobi Data and Analytics Private LTD, a software product based start-up has been granted a patent for inventing a neural metadata framework. The patent is aimed at generating a neural metadata framework for providing a mathematical model to catalogue the data elements from the storage structures.

Nanobi Data and Analytics Private LTD provides businesses with products and analytic solutions related to customer analytics, risk analytics and financial analytics.

As per the publically available data, the start-up has filed only one patent application till date. The patent application was filed on 18th March 2014 and has received the patent grant on 31st December 2019. As per the initial observation, this one odd patent is a good start but will hardly give any protection to the start-up in an already patent crowded technological landscape. It seems that the start-up may have to rethink their strategy of how to use patents/patent portfolio as a strategic tool: be it using for protection, using it for issuing impactful press releases or raising the valuation by partially owing the technological landscape.

This granted patent focuses on inventing a neural metadata framework by creating a data warehouse. The data warehouse is created by assembling storage spaces and mashing up multiple interconnected data elements from the storage spaces to provide business analytics.  Based on the creation of data warehouse, the neural metadata framework is generated.  The neural data framework provides a mathematical model to catalogue the data elements from the storage spaces. A number of algorithms are applied to the mathematical model for identifying an interconnected relationship of data elements. A machine learning process is adopted to acquire a common relationship from identified interconnected relationship of the data elements. After acquiring the common relationship, data mining is done to identify a statistical correlation between the data elements. The data elements are abstracted and catalogued using the mathematical model.
